ER run, door knob, and much more

Tis the season for accidents. Well let me tell you a story. I woke up early on Wednesday feeling like I was going to throw up, and the next thing I wake up to my wives voice telling me to wake up. I passed out and hit my head on the door knob and then the tile floor. I was out for a little bit and then could not go back to sleep. So then we made the trip to the er and got poked, scanned, and pumped. Then I came home and crashed for the rest of the day.
Finals are this next week, but I think I will do really well, I am praying and hooping for the best with them all.

I did it, I found a human being that was more stressed than I. It was one of my missionaries, and let me just say he was having a bit of a rough week. Not to bag on him, but he worries a lot and seems to find fault with a lot of different things. Anyways, I asked him a questions and he kind of snapped on me. And then he tried to cover his tracks, but by then we were in another room and I was trying to figure him out. No I did not buy him anything, but I let him leash out on some things that were bottled up and needed to get out. I could see the difference in him from the first to the last.
It was worth the gnashing of teeth to see him do a little bit better.
Thanks for the business assignment, it means a lot that we get to do this assignment.

sick

This has been a week of gratitude and thanks. This week we found out that my mother-in-laws mom had a stroke and passed away. My mother-in-law is an amazing women and is a great example of compassion and love and service. She took care of her mom and dad for 13 years, they have been her life. She has been so faithful to them and has served them.
It has been hard to see all the tears, but there have been sweet moments and time where we have rejoiced together.
I am still sick, I probably sneezed 100 times today, I am just exhausted from it, so I am going to bed super early and getting some good rest.
Grace is doing well, she really started to smile today and her own personality is shining through.
Life is great and the blessing are flowing in.

Well, here we go again.  Another week has gone flying by and more things just keep popping up.  Aced a Book of Mormon test.  Stayed up super late to finish a Econ assignment.  Still am feeling sick and had to go to the docs twice this week.  Found out that I got bronchitis, it has been pretty nasty.  We have been nervous all week that Grace would pick it up, but she has not thank goodness.

I also got some new missionaries this week, I got a group of 12 because there were about 700 missionaries that came into the MTC this week.  I saw a falcon this week at school, I have a teacher who is an avid falconer.  And each week we have treat Wednesday, and so this was his treat for us.  It was pretty cool to see it.

Ending I just want to say that my little girl is the cutest! It is really fun to be able to dress her up and have daddy days.

This was a good week until I got sick.  I have had the worst sore throat, it goes with out fail each and every year.  I am always sick, man I need to get out of this coldness and hang in the sun. How can I enjoy time with my wife and daughter when I am sick.
It was my grandpa's 80th birthday the week on 11/11/11, what a cool day it was.  Pictures, dinner and desert.  It was fun to have my aunt and cousin come into town from Colorado. We celebrated this great mans life and rejoiced in one anothers company.  God Bless that man.
Homework, tests, papers, books, and assignments.  To much to handle, what to do, what to do?

nother week of joy

Dear Blogging World:

It was an exciting week! Grace is doing well, she is growing up so quick.  She just turned three weeks! She is sleeping a little bit better, we have learned to go to sleep when she does and that makes the Marlowe house a little bit less tired.
She is getting more hair on her little head and it sis kind of going lite.  Her eyes are grey now, which is pretty cool, but I think they will change colors again soon. 
She is going through lots of diapers, I mean lots. I read an article and it said that within the first 2 years, babies will go through 7300 diapers, WOW. 
I found that she really likes the sounds of hair dryers, so that has helped daddy calm her down when mommy is not here. 
Being a dad is not hard, just really new.

Full of Grace

Our lives are full of Grace.  Each day our little girl changes, her noises, her faces, and personality.  She has enriched our lives with a new sense of love.  I am still in amazement that she is here with us, and that we created her. 

Okay so what else is going on right now?  School is going okay and things are starting to heat up in classes.  Papers are due tests are coming up and homework is piling up.

Work is always good, my missionaries are going to three missions: Nebraska, Texas, and oh man I can't remember the third one.

Week of love

My blogging friends,

I want to first report on my buy a coke assignment from Mr. Dr. Shayne Clarke.  My wife and I were at Hiers, and we bumped into some old missionaries from my mission.  I really only knew two of the six people and so it was kind of weird for a little while.  Then we chose to get our order to go because all of them were pretty much done eating when we got our food.  While at the counter picking up our food, I felt to pick up the check for the whole table.  It was a neat experience, thanks Clarke.

How about the new little girl.  She is get bigger and changing all the time, we love her more and we can't imagine life without her.  We will see tomorrow how much bigger she is getting at the Doctors appointment.

Grace Anne Marlowe was born on Friday October 14, 2011 at 1:37 a.m.  She weighed 6 pounds 15 ounces and was 19 inches tall.  She is gorgeous, with her light brown hair and blue eyes.  They said that she was perfect and I could not agree more.  She is a miracle and we love her so much.  On the car ride home I told my wife that she is our life now.  She is pretty much our new best friend, she always wants to hang out with us and we want to hang out with her.  She like to stay up all night and just talk(cry). 
Let me tell you about her, she has cute cheeks that hang down further than her chin, she has olive skin and hitch hiker big toes, so cute.
We love her and she is "Amazing Grace."   

Okay so first off I want to change my name on this blog and it won't let me.  Lame, I want to change it to 3 marlowes.  We are still waiting on little miss Grace.  It is now perfect timing for her to come because I have no tests this week.  Well that might be selfish, but I just want to meet her and hold her.
Tomorrow will be 40 weeks, oh my goodness how fast time has gone.
School ya know is school, work ya know is work.
I am excited for halloween and for all the treats and fun things going on then.  I love this time of year with all the colors and with the cooler weather.  Till next time...

Still waiting on Grace

Well no baby yet, but that is just fine.  I had a few tests this week which would have made it a little bit more crazy if Grace would have come.  I have been having some amazing experiences with this baby coming.  I have felt the hand of God in my life with this baby and how this is what needs to happen in my life.  My wife is going to be an amazing mother and I am going to do the best that I can with being this baby's father.

The new missionaries showed up this week, and shocked to the core that they were in the MTC.  It is fun to see how much the Elders and Sisters progress through their stay.  It is a miracle, God gives miracles to those who believe, and I believe.

Its been a week

I will take you through a interesting week.  We had a little scare on Wednesday with my wife.  We are expecting a our baby to come on October 10, but she was having some major contractions so we thought we might meet out little girl sooner.  She started having contractions due to a kidney infection, ouch, she was in some serious pain, but today she is doing better and well we are just waiting for that little girl. 
Then yesterday in my Economics class, I saw a kid chewing  his hand, it was super weird.  I econ is a rough class but to go cannibal on yourself, yikes.
The missionaries are doing good, I don't get a new group until Wednesday and I found out that my new group is going to Ohio, California, and somewhere else. 
Let su do some work this week.

So I was supposed to hike Mt. Nebo this weekend, do homework, and  stress about a bunch of stuff.  I don't think I will do the majority of that list.  Nebo is out because people are to busy.  Stress is out because I do that to much.  Homework is still in because it is always in.
I am just aching in pain from inter mural football last night, but I guess that is what you get when all you do is homework all week.  In my opinion the game last night was more important and exciting than the BYU vs U of U game.  I will make my first and last blog confession; I am rooting for the Utes.  Born red, die red. 
As you can tell my mind is all over the place but that is what you with this guy.
My wife is doing good, she is the most adorable pregnant lady.  We are excited to meet this little girl in a few weeks.  Till next time peace, love, and gap.

School, work, and school work.  Ever since getting back from beautiful California life has been full throttle.  I have had my nose is my text books reading over economics, marriage and sentence basics and getting rebuked for being terrible at writing.  I am looking forward to the weekend to relax and watch some football and spend time with my family. 
I have been reading about Alma in the Book of Mormon and how God was involved in his life and how he is passing his knowledge to his sons.  Knowing that in a month or less we will have our first child and thinking that I have the responsibilities to raise this little girl in the right ways, it is kind of petrifying.  I feel as though if I was not ready for this task it would not be happening.  Talking to my blog is not so bad after all. 

 

So heres the thing

First off I don't know if that is how you actually spell heres?  It is how I would say it, so that is how I am going to spell it.  I wish the English language was like spell it like it sounds, and not spell it like we say.  It is no wounder that I never made it to a spell bee, with that thought I don't think that I ever got into any type of bee.  If I had a bucket list I think I would have just put that on it.   

my first ever blog post

Blogging to me is like talking into space, where you can express yourself all you want and you will never get a reply.  But the feeling that you can be yourself and not be judged, ridiculed, or even replied to is a great sensation.  I don't have any idea who will read this in the future or if anyone ever will, but to those who read, just read.  This is a simple request from a new simple blogger and one who knows of the value of words and what it means to be able to communicate yourself to others.  I am feeling anxious or nervous; I don’t know which one yet, but the thought of opening myself to this new social way of communication is new way of finding a new me.  Blogging to me is like talking into space, where you can express yourself in ways that cannot be done otherwise.  Let my initial blog be posted to see or to not been seen, but if you see just read.
